2024 BOND PROPOSITIONS

NO TAX RATE INCREASE

On May 4, 2024, residents of Rowlett are asked to go to the polls to consider authorizing the issuance of bonds in the amount of $51.35 million for four bond propositions. Each of these projects were carefully considered and proposed by the citizen-led Council-appointed Community Investment Program Task Force, and the City Council voted to place these propositions on the ballot for citizens’ consideration.

$35,000,000

Projects include traffic signal control replacements and installation, Merritt Road Interconnector, Liberty Grove Road improvements, and street and alley reconstructions.

Parks and Recreation Projects 

Proposition B

$8,500,000

Repairs, renovations, enhancements, and improvements to parks and recreation facilities.

Modernization and repair to Fire Stations 1, 3, and 4.
