Strengthen Neighborhood Livability
Strategic Priority
-
Animal Services maintains an exemplary 95% live release rate (99% dogs and 89% cats)
-
The shelter has been at Code Red status for dogs since March 2022. Code Red is reached when there are 18 dogs (or more) at the shelter.
-
In FY 2022, there were approximately 40 animals in foster care. This is a key factor in maintaining our exemplary live release rate.
-
Approximately 60% of the US population owns at least one animal.
